As part of the Australian Flying Disc Association’s (AFDA) National Play Well Plan, a major priority is the development of a nationally aligned junior participation system.
AFDA Junior Participation System – Phase 1 Community Survey
Our goal is to establish a shared, sustainable framework for introducing young people to disc sports across Australia, one that champions best practices while celebrating the diverse strengths and local successes that already exist within our community.
To build an effective system, we need your voice.
Whether you are currently or have been coaching youth leagues, running local club initiatives, coordinating school clinics, or simply passionate about creating more opportunities for the next generation of players, your experience is invaluable.
Why Your Input Matters
Many clubs, leagues, and volunteers across Australia already deliver fantastic junior initiatives. This survey aims to:
* Map current youth programs and delivery models across the country.
* Identify key challenges, resource gaps, and priority areas for coaches and organisers.
* Highlight successful grassroots initiatives that could be scaled or adapted nationally.
* Establish shared priorities for a cohesive, long-term participation pathway.
The insights collected will directly inform Phase 1 of our planning and lay the foundation for how AFDA supports youth recruitment, retention, and development moving forward.
Take the Survey
The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.
